​The Brown County Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee is a non-profit organization that exists to build inclusivity, celebrate diversity, and work toward social justice within the local area and beyond. The Committee hosts an annual event that brings our communities together to celebrate the life, legacy, and teachings of Dr. King.

2024 Celebration

Join us virtually or in-person at NWTC on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for our 29th annual Brown County MLK Celebration. 
​

This event - which is FREE and open to the public - brings our communities together to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
  • K-12 contest to creatively interpret this year’s theme of "Bridging Cultures, Celebrating Differences"
  • Reading of "I Have a Dream" speech with interpretative dance
  • Cultural dance performances
  • Annual recognitions for Ebiere Juliet Cole, Teachers, and Community awards
  • Enjoy a light cultural cuisine after the show
