2025 K-12 Contest
As part of the 30th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Celebration event, we offer a contest for all school age children (K-12) living or attending school within Brown County and Oneida Nation. Each participant is encouraged to submit an illustration, creating writing, or narrative to demonstrate this year’s theme “A Vision for Peace: Keep the dream alive”
All winners will be announced at the event on January 18, 2025 and will receive

Ebiere Juliet Cole Award
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?”
Living Dr. King’s message, Ebiere “Juliet” Cole, has been a pillar to the Brown County community actively fostering diversity, inclusion, and cultural humility. In 2022, the Ebriere Juliet Cole Community Award was established in her name, recognizing her work and positive impact. Carrying on her legacy, the annual MLK Celebration honors this Community Award each year.
Do you know someone who has created and/or advanced community within Brown County? Do you know someone who has championed cultural humility? Nominate them today!

- Your donation contributes to the K-12 Contest Prize and overall event, attended by more than several hundred members of the community. NOTE: There are contests in three categories, which have three winners and honorable mentions from each category
- Donations of $1,000 or more are given special acknowledgement as a "Gold Level Sponsor" in our Celebration program and are invited to submit a company logo for program inclusion as well.
- All participating sponsors will be acknowledged on our website and event program pamphlet with their preferred company logo.
